Obama delagate accused of calling black neighbors monkeys

An obama delegate who referred to black children as monkeys has decided she will not step down from the campaign.
Ramirez Sliwinski is the name of the Illinois delgate who when encountered black children playing in her tree, remarked, "The children shouldn't have been climbing in the trees like monkeys." The childrens parents called police and Sliwinski received a $75.00 ticket which she will fight.
Look I am certainly not advocating the use of the word monkeys to describe any race but I do not think that Ramirez meant her remark in a racial way in this instance. It could have just as easily been white kids climbing in her tree. The obama campaign supports her decison to stay on saying that they do not believe the comment to be racially driven.
