Sirius/Xm merger?

ok how come Sirius and Xm Sattelite radio have not yet been allowed to merge? heeeeellllooo they cannot survive if they dont combine so how would they be a monopoly? They certainly will have more than enough competition from regular non sattelite radio stations. These politicians who are stalling the deal are corrrupt scumbags. These people are concerned with losing money as a result of a merger and are not concerned with the investment stakeholders and workers at these companies. Even the merger will not gaurantee success but we need to at least give them a chance. This is not google buying yahoo, it is a sector that cannot survive without appropriate consolidation. If political clowns want to stimulate the economy, how about we start off by not stalling this neccesary merger.

Ask Jim Kramer of mad money why this merger is taking so long for in depth coverage of the situation. (weeknights at 7 and 11 on cnbc) He too is frustrated with this nonsense and I hope this issue gets resolved quickly.

Obama accused of being a chatty kathy

Senator Obama has recently been accused of being what is commonly called a "chatty kathy". Other candidates namely Mccain and Hllary have said that words are not important but action is. Obama has alot of great ideas and is a respectable man, but the question remains whether or not he can actually get things done.It iwill be interesting to see how he fairs in the voteing taking place today which will no doubt heavily influence the favored democratic nominee. If Barack Obama wins then i feel he is very close to being the locked in democratic candidate.

Romney endorses Senator Mccain

Mitt Romney has endorsed Senator Mccain recently as you all know and that locks in his nomination...(i mean cmon). I wonder how long this Huckabee character will stay in the race and is it negatively effecting the GOP? If there are any thoughts out there on the Mike huckabee/ John Mccain debate please feel free to state them.

what the fuck?

Alright, someone keeps cutting off the end of the new hillary clinton commercial about healthcare where it announces who the candidate is. At first i saw it happen on comedy central and thought it was an accident but today i saw it happen on another channel. I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this and i hope that it is not being done purposely by networks in order to stop a Hillary comeback. They did it too mccain and now their doing it to hilldoggy and thats fucked up. Electoral candidates must all get a fair say and chance even if they may have a misleading message. Networks who censor candidates commericals and opinions because they (the networks) are bipartisan and diserve a big smack in the mouth for negatively impacting our informed decision making.

Healthcare

I urge all blogreaders to see the movie "sicko" to get a better understanding of how the healthcare system currently works in the United States. Sweeden for instance, has a very sucessful universal healtcare system, although yes they do pay more in taxes. The movie sicko, however shows that it is easily possible to still be wealthy as a doctor in a government ran healthcare system..In fact they get paid more the better the job they do..It might not be a rock solid theory but this system of motivational performance is certainly something that would seem ideal for doctors.

Fox news is caught providing false information about prospective presidential candidates

This blog will mostly be about current political issues and will also comment on humourous occurences that take place throughout the current political landscape.

The three main issues of the week.

1. Fox news mistakenly reports John Mcain as being democrat. The network goes on to Claim that it was a product of incompetence and that it was purely accidental. The truth is that it seemed more coincidental than accidental. While this is not a republican blog it still seems slimy for a media outlet to be able to falseify information for it's own interests. Are their any thougths on this?

2. John Stewart and Stephen Colbert engage in street fight with Conan Obrian as talk show hosts debate who started Mike Huckabee. Colbert beats conan with trash can and later is subsequently defeated by Mike Huckabee in air hockey combat. Will Colbert bump huckabee to victory and become vice president? Wouldn't you vote for huckabee if colbert ran as vice president? He would certainly be better than cheney. Furthermore i request a steel cage match between these 3 talk show hosts.

3. It is looking to me as if Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton may be the Democratic Presidential ticket. I think that if they were to run, the combination of voter bases they have would be a secured victory. With Mitt Romney dropping out this week, The republicans have mostly chosen their nominee. (even if they do not like him). Hillary and Barack have mostly the same views with a few minor differences, and as we have seen they have been strangely non-combatant in recent debates. It will be interesting to see what develops in the next week, now that super tuesday was non- decisive for the Democratic side. (massachussets and california aside.)
